It is because of blind azzholes like you that this country is in the mess it is in. You voted for 'Dumbo' TWICE. We DID have a balanced budget when Clinton left office. Those were the good ole days. We never had it so good as when Clinton was in office. Then Bush loses by over 500,000 votes to Gore, but because of the electorial college, which is as outdated as black and white TV, he wins. That was the beginning of the end. "Bush Wins!" Clinton will/is in the history books as one of the best presidents ever. Face it. You'd never admit to that, I know. On the other hand, Bush is also in the history books. In the books as the president to leave office with the LOWEST approval rating of anyone in the history of our nation. Get your head out of your azz and open your eyes. Yes Clinto was so great, lets see he signed into law the worst gun control law ever, he banned several models just because of how they look, he lied to the country, and not about anything important but about getting a BJ from a fat female intern. Oh yes the great Clinton took the balanced budget and the prosperity that this Country Got from a truly great President and a Conservative Majority in Congress and in eight years ran the Country into a recession, that it tokk President Bush a year to get us out of, even after one of the worst attacks in American History. i lived and worked through the Reagan Years, and I lived and worked through the disaster Carter gave this Country. Clinton took office with every thing in pretty good shaPE SO GOOD THAT IT TOOK HIM ALMOST EIGHT YEARS TO RUN US INTO RECESSION. He talked good, but in reality he is a cheat and a liar.And Obama is worse, he really believes the liberal progressive crap.

The scary thing is: We could of had John and her running the country. We'd be in even worse and deeper than we are now, trying to dig out of Bush's mess and failures. BO with bring this country back. Just give him time. Bush messed it totally up in only 8 years. That won't be repaird overnight. You need to read up on your civics. Presidents don't fund budgets the Congress does. Clinton gave us the largest tax increase in history and proposed huge deficits that a demorap congress approved. When the republicans took control of the Congress in 94, they forced clinton into balanced budgets. Clinton decimated our military to include the females in combat mess, opened the door to the CHICOMS to acquire ballistic missile technology, let Bin Laden go when he was offered to us and was convicted of a felony. The Electoral College did it's job. If we didn't have it the large urban areas, mostly non-taxpaying leeches would elect our presidents. I strongly suggest you take the advice you gave on the last line of your erroneous diatribe. jorge

The public at large are unimportant. We are moving towards South American fascism, where a small minority control all the wealth and the rest of the populace is working poor or worse. The last several decades have seen a huge migration in wealth from the middle class to the top 1%, and average buying power has declined. Now the Government has gone so far as to finance big financials out of the taxpayer's pocket, while those same big companies continue to hand out huge bonuses. As usual, the common man takes it in the a**.

It seems to me she can't please everybody. It was here recently, when everybody was screaming about obscene oil profits, and the Exxon valdez oil spill settlement. I think she got a little extra well the going was good. The environmentalists are killing our oilfields. Salazar was here a month ago and put a bunch more off limits. Most of Alaska's oil production comes from land owned by the state � and leased to the oil companies that look for and extract the crude. But some of the most significant undeveloped resources are in areas owned by the federal government, such as the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge and federal waters in the outer continental shelf. Revenue from oil production there would go mostly to the U.S. Treasury, but the state could claim a small part of it, according to state Department of Revenue officials.

Bush: Undermined individual liberty with executive orders. Raised the national debt $5 trillion. Took us into two wars on false premises. The only way to fight the war against the terrorists is to wire-tapping and espionage. What does "Took us into two wars on false premises." mean ? Afganistan was needed to kill the terrorists and their supporters. Iraq was needed because Saddam would not keep the ceasefire agreement, was attacking our planes and had invaded Kuwait. Bush had to fight 2 wars and a recession with the devastation caused by 9/11 thrown. Obama is destroying our economic system.

ahem while we're discussing the Clinton presidency can we bring up the fact that Greenspan gave his "irrational exuberance" speech that sent the stock market reeling when the DOW was at 9K?
shortly after that he back pedaled a fair bit, the budget surpluses were funny money, based on phony corporate profits, artificially low interest rates led to borrow and acquire via mergers, and the public bought right into it as the administration desired them to do so.
Clinton is not dumb, but he is an opportunist, he saw his chance and I'd bet dollars to donuts, he told Greenspan to pipe down and let the good times roll.
if he'd had the integrity to do so, he'd have allowed Greenspan to speak his mind and we wouldn't have had all this false wealth evaporate over the last couple of years and the ensuing problems associated with such.
but alas, if anything was evident, Bill Clinton lacked integrity.

Out of curiousity , what all has Sarah done as Alaska's governor that has not been of a conservative nature ?? The stuff that bothers me is stuff like Alaska has the highest tax on oil in the world. Some Magazines have likened her to Chavez the dictator in So. America. Either she doesn't believe in capitalism or doesn't support it. The oil companies have really slowed down drilling and exploration because there is just no money in it. The bigger the oil company the more she seems to hate them. She contracted with a Canadian company to lay out the path for the gas pipeline and determine a cost for it because she preferred to NOT work with American oil companies. Then she put in an extremely strict penalty of TRIPLE DAMAGES if someone else comes along after her and tries to get rid of them. She is paying them 1/2 a billion dollars for this when an oil company is doing the same thing as we speak, invested more money and is costing the state NOTHING. She added over 1000 people to the state payroll her first year. The budget is out of control. There was a state hiring freeze for e months, and something like 536 exceptions were called for and she approved all but 2. If she tries to add an extra $500 million to the budget but ends up knocking out $50 million her take on it is that she took $50 million out ouf the budget... She hired way to many people in her cabinet that were just old cronies that are so lost they don't know which way to go or what to do. She won't have department meetings and won't give department heads any direction at all. Because she doesn't have a clue. So many of her ways is sounds like McCain. I do like how she has "managed" wildlife and that she can ignore what people from out of state thinks about her handling of wolves and such to try to get the ungulate population back which is in very poor shape in many areas. I don't dislike her at all I just don't agree with the tax and spenders from either party. She talks a good line but doesn't seem to know how to get there. Ditto! Bravo! Glad to see not everyone has their head's up their azz.
