Hey tex, hows the ankle doing? Any better?
Well earlier the doc asked how bad the pain was on a scale of one to ten and I said 'seven'.
It's maybe 6.5 at the moment. Thanks for asking.
To further the thread-jack...
Is "ten" options for the amount of pain you're in not give you enough choices; such that you have to add the ".5" to "6".
As one that is "in the biz". Nothing annoys me more when asking pain level than "X.5/10" Really?
Wait I take that back, someone saying "12/10" as their pain level, that annoys me more.
Trying to put an objective number to subjective thing is bad enough. But I have yet to find a medical professional who can give me anything but a blank stare when I ask "Is that scale linear or logarithmic?"
Back on topic:
Benjamin Franklin!
The guy had an insatiable curiosity and the means to explore it. I doubt he ever experienced boredom, especially during the mid 1770's. He did many things about which our society still revolves. He spent a lot of time at the Court of France. That must have been interesting in those days.
I would miss smokeless powder, quality barrel steel, and high BC projectiles.
