I'd be glad to lend the OP a buffalo lance, even a small axe, and let you film it for YouTube and the Darwins.

I'd even throw in a bucket of bacon grease, honey and donut bits.

the last grizzly killed in Colorado was killed with a arrow and no bow. At least I think thats what I recall from the story. Id rather have a spear than nothing at all

In Hawaii a few months ago I was talking with a local about pig hunting. They use dogs, knives, and spears there. He pulled up his shorts to show me some pretty damn appalling scars on his legs....

I'd not want to have to stop a pissed off bear, period. If I did I'd like a fast repeating rifle in a solid caliber. I'd hate to have only a pistol. And a knife or spear? Yikes.

Disclaimer: I've not fought a bear. However I have been in a standoff with one.

I think the original question was meant to be: Has anyone got a bear spare or a spare bear? I'm thirsty and a cold one would go down well.

Remeber kids. Only a forest fire can prevent bears.

They might could audition for supporting roles. It seems the casting is pretty complete and production seems to be on schedule. Even under budget.

I have chased off many a black bear in NM, they are typically passive.
I went to Africa 6 years ago and traded with a Masai leader for a lion killing spear. I will loan it to the OP along with the olarem and rungu we made together that I returned with as well just to watch it go down. Fortunately the spear is made in 3 pieces, two metal on the end joined by a wooden center that can be replaced in the case of idiots trying to fight bears.

Chased a black bear in the dark with a frying pan when I was backpacking in the upper peninsula in Michigan. Chased it a ways out of the camp thinking my buddies were right behind me, only to turn around and see them all standing by the fire looking in the direction I ran. I'm pretty damn sure that I ran faster back to the fire than I did after that bear. I don't think a spear would have been any less effective than the frying pan but it was easier to run through the woods, in the dark, screaming, with the pan.

Tell me the odds of putting grease on the same pancake? I Know they are there, well ice and house slippers. -Kawi

ironbender;

How goes production? Full length feature, or just a trailer?
