This is supposed to be about TRH and his untimely demise. This is an absolute shock. At 6'3" 235-240 lbs, John, um.....TRH, had great physical strength, was fit, ate healthy and didn`t even look his age at all. I told the doctor that he never complained of any head issues.

I know a Green Beret from Vietnam who won't talk about his service and damn sure wouldn't post pics on the internet. We will have to see what Jorge has to say... Maybe he was actually in combat and did things that scarred him? The salesman I bought my last truck from had a SF ring on. My wife (20+ year vet) recognized it and mentioned it. He very casually mentioned that he'd been shot 3x and blown up 2x before being medically retired. Some guys have BTDT. Just sayin.

I find it is pretty common within the ranks of the SpecOps community to not show pics and keep their mouths shut as to what they do...probably the type of person it takes to get through the training and all that goes with it...

You're probably going to get degraded by the majority of the people you encounter in life. I have told TAK that I would pay him $8.12 if he could prove he was a Green Beret. I bet he (your friend) isn't on an internet forum telling everyone about his service time and being vague on specifics either. Jorge is likely to say exactly what I guessed many pages back, and now, after asking many, many times, TAK actually confirmed: he was guard while SF. I don't know about anyone else, but my issue is simply that he has been quick to throw out specifics like "I got a 99 on my jump test HOOOOAH" but refused to answer/ignored a simple question of whether or not he was guard/reserve/active duty. Your friend sounds like the spec-ops people I have known. Dudes who are really badass don't need to tell you about it, and they usually don't. TAK goes waaaaaay out of his way to interject his service into any and every conversation.

Well, at least he has the not showing pics part down..... The shutting up part is funny though. Especially when the job description tells people that they are gonna need to be an endurance runner and TAK has derided that skill set endlessly here on 24HC whenever the chance arises......

And I will say it again...20th group guard or active duty, they go through the SAME training and meet the same requirements. No sign reading required.
I have a friend from college who is in the reserves as a PJ...is he less of a PJ/SpecOps warrior than an active duty PJ?
The answer is a resounding NO.
