I have a 338 wsm built on a Winchesters stainless classic and that thing is very comfortable to shoot. I use a 67.0 gr RL17 fed 210 with a 225gr nosler accubond and I'm getting 2860 fps with it. Now 300 win mags those things make me hurt, I recently picked up a nib ruger 77 mkii in a 300 win mag don't ask why I got it. I tell myself because I have a problem and can't pass up good deals. If anything good trading material or maybe I will build on the courage to shoot it
Like others have said I will take a 338 over a 300 mag anything well the exception being the 300 H&H.
