Just my insight from working there for a Summer, Plan your animal seeing adventures before 8 in the morning.... Most of the Tourists are still eating breakfast. From 5-6.30 I seen way more Sheep and elk then other times of the day. Bears also. Use the Mid day to see geographical sights( Old Faithful, the Canyon and such) Spend more time in the North East then you plan. Less people and more sights of Beauty. Go to Calcite Springs and look for sheep across the Canyon from the Trail that leads of parking area( I staked that trail, Pain in the arse) They were there pretty regularly. Bring a good mix of clothes , as others said 80s in afternoon normal, bring sunblock and a good hat and also expect 30s in early mornings.... Try and have fun , the traffic is pretty wearisome at times though......
