Did you happen to catch the longer clip, where he was at the bar first, and she pushed him out of the way, then he pushed her aside to get his spot back at which point she starts assaulting him?
I did not. But I believe the issue is not what she did, but how he handled it. Absent a weapon, that young woman posed no threat to a college football player. Had he stepped aside, and distanced himself from her and the situation, neither of them would be looking like idiots on youtube. A male is not a man, who pushes an immaterial issue with a likely inebriated young woman, particularly to the point of striking her in the face with a closed fist. There is no civility in that scenario.
