I'm using .308" 130gr Barnes TTSX with TAC powder. And say what you want, I'm a fan of military brass for use in my 308 Win. And yes, reduced loads and a load worked out. Everything I've shot, for a long time now, has been with one Barnes bullet or another... originals, tsx, ttsx...
I did pick up some Speer Hot-Cor bullets to use in another gun that's not a 308 Win. Accurate, but no experience on game with them yet.
Works for me too.
If you don't need to take advantage of high BC bullets way out there (hunting distances here aren't that long) its got the same shooting characteristics as a 6.5 Swede, 6.5 Creedmoor, etc with a similar weight bullet.
