The small block Chevy’s were pretty bad ass
As far as endurance , the 318’s and slanted six held up pretty good
The best I had for endurance was a 2006 Ford Focus station wagon , had 280 some thousand miles when I sold it and and the guy who bought it drove it for a couple more years
