The several stories about standard loads just poking through are unsettling and I suspect the problem would be exacerbated by lower velocities from a 16-in. bbl.


The regular 150 and 170 grain power point, core-lokt and Federal ammo is fine for deer hunting.
No worries about anything "penciling through". It is designed to expand at 30-30 speeds and has been refined
for 115 or so years by the ammo companies.
