A lot of people swore by the 375 RUM (some swore at it because of recoil). The XCR II is really light, lighter than the Rem web page states. I bought an XCR II in 375 H&H last year and had it rechambered to 375 Weatherby just to scratch an itch. It doesn't give up much to the 375 RUM in velocity particularly in the XCRs 22" barrel and it can still shoot 375 H&H (actually I shot my brown bear with it using 375 H&H Remington Safari 300g Swift A-Frames) worked great!
