I just learned of another Obama recession casualty.
In 2011 I hunted with Gavin Rorke in Zimbabwe. It was a new concession and Gavin had spent a lot of money getting it in shape. The hunt was excellent--lion, bull elephant, and buffalo were bagged among others. The accommodations were first class. I almost signed up to return in 2013 for leopard and sable but decided against it in part because of the economy.
Now I learn that Gavin is out of business and has sold out to Charlton McCallum Safaris. Gavin will act as PH for the safaris he has sold in 2013 and 2014. CMS, incidentally, has an excellent reputation.
One more small business and safari outfitter bites the dust.
Elections have consequences. Make sure you vote in 2014.
