Eek, during the entire special, couldn't you see the bears were way too close and he was way to comfortable around them. I watched in the fetal position thinking this one's gonna get him, this one's gonna get him, the one he touches, the one he swims with, the skinny one fishing and walking up behind him, the one he walks up to scratching his back, the two fighting behind him. The half a fox or the bear cub's severed leg laying around and all the skinny bears gave me a clue. Yikes. A while ago John Krackauer write a book called Into the Wild about a college student who went to live in the wilds of Alaska and whose remains were found in a bus towed out into the woods by loggers to bunk in. He went out to do the Thoreau thing and had a bad bad end.
