Officers such as these two will cause people to believe all cops are like that and I know for a fact they are not.
If you mean to imply that this sort of thing is very rare as a percentage of cops, whoever it was that was speaking to the defendant near the end (not sure, but either the police chief or the prosecutor) seemed to disagree with you. He was saying it straight and speaking of the norm,
not the exception.
