On my first ever 'build' ( a .223�) The gunsmith asked how long I wanted the barrel�.
" Short enough to turn around inside the cab of a pickup�"
That's my old .30-30 as well. I don't think I'd want anything longer for moving around in a truck.
"An archer sees how far he can be from a target and still hit it, a bowhunter sees how close he can get before he shoots." It is certainly easy to use that same line of thinking with firearms. -- Unknown
