For 30 years past I hunted almost every day of the 4-5 week deer season. No more. 2012 probably killed my last three deer. Just hunted squirrels past year and this.
An old friend has given me permission to hunt and fish his property and it's only 10 miles away so I'll take my .45 Colt along with my .22 while squirrel hunting. If a young doe shows, maybe I'll take the shot.
Actually, chasing squirrels with a .22 has been more fun. I see a lot more squirrels and they're no trouble to carry out.
