I possess exactly one Weatherby rifle, in non-Weatherby cartridge, so all I have to go by are ballistics charts. Given that, the 7mm comes in with the Blue Ribbon by a length. Runner up: the over-boomer 300. The 7 is close to perfect capacity for a magnum 7. Seems like I could duplicate the 257 and then some in the 7 with the right light bullet. The 300 offers no more range than the 7, so the only plus there is heavier bullets, more KE.
