I've been a 300 Wby fan and have owned one for decades, but with the bullets available today that weren't available back then, I can do anything I used to do with a 243 just as well. I really don't see the need for a magnum anything...MV doesn't hang with BC for retained velocity, so for me it's more about handy rifles and great bullets.
