I sure do like my two MK V's; a 240 and a 7 MM Wby Mag. The MK V action is a bit big for a 240 but is sure is a SLICK action and the 7 Wby mag poops out a 175 Nosler Partition at around 3050 fps.
They were only $450 when I bought them through the Rod and Gun club at Atsugi, Japan in '81.
FWIW, I don't hand-load, but I bought a 7mm Wby MkV (Ultra LW) last year, and I shot and chronoed various available factory ammo, and they all shot a bit lower than advertised. But the CorBon 160gr TSX load comes out of my barrel at a very consistent velocity averaging 3,238 fps. Sighting in so that it peaks at 150yds at 3" high, it is still moving at about 2,400fps at 350 yds and only about 6" low. Pretty wicked IMO. I wish CorBon would load it the same with a 160gr AB of TTSX, but it's still pretty awesome to me.
