Grab it. It's a heavy piece, far heavier than the G20, but it's a superb handgun. It'll handle any loads in 10mm you ever want to feed it, it will do so controllably and reliably with quite good accuracy.

300 rounds of ammo is 15 boxes of 20 or 6 boxes of 50. Even at the low end, that's about $120 and as much as $300 in ammo. Split the difference low and that's $200 of the $800. A 1006 with two mags and a holster for $600 is a good price on a not easy to find but very, very good pistol. You could get that back out of it pretty easily, or very close to it, should you decide you don't want it.

If you want a 10mm, the 1006 is one of the best.
