300 rounds of ammo is 15 boxes of 20 or 6 boxes of 50. Even at the low end, that's about $120 and as much as $300 in ammo. Split the difference low and that's $200 of the $800. A 1006 with two mags and a holster for $600 is a good price on a not easy to find but very, very good pistol. You could get that back out of it pretty easily, or very close to it, should you decide you don't want it.

If you want a 10mm, the 1006 is one of the best.
What he said, DAMN good pistol. I dare you to try to kill one. No really, that's a dare. I double dog dare you wink

There are three model 1076's in my house. I can only say for sure that one has around 8,000 rounds through it and it is still a shooting machine. I was issued that pistol in September 1995 and carried it as a duty weapon until February, 2002. Our duty ammunition was a 180 grain HP loaded to 1250 fps.

It has seen beaucoup of them.
