Well, to resurrect the thread, Cross offered to fix the sight, so I sent to him, and he tig'd in a new threaded eye. The results are damn impressive.



And also made two nice eye cups, threaded to match the eye.



So the sight is now successfully repaired. I can heartily recommend his work All I need to do now is figure out what the rifle would like to shoot
