Saw a lot of 555-count boxes of Winchester .22LR at the gun show in Loveland Saturday. Prices ranged from $45 to $60. Picked up one of the $45 boxes, which puts me at about 4500 rounds on the shelf.

Will definitely be stocking up more, as well as more powder, primers and bullets as prices continue their slow decline. The Sportsmans Warehouse in Loveland actually had 333-count packs of Winchester for $20 Saturday morning, the best price I've seen in a long time, but I got there too late. The good news is it's been a while since I've seen asking prices of $75 of more and even longer since $100 to $150 for a brick of 500.

Like a lot of folks I've weathered the shortages pretty well due to my stockpiles but I anticipate even more severe and longer shortages in the future.

Have to admit I've been seriously considering a bow or crossbow and a high-powered air rifle. The Chinese have a curse that goes "May you live in interesting times". Our federal government is inept and corrupt at the highest levels but history teaches us that things can get a lot worse. Wouldn't surprise me at all if they do. Having adequate supplies for a long period seems like a reasonable preparation.
