It gets tougher to "percieve" thin reticles as you get older. My 56 yr old eyeballs keep reminding me of that.
Absolutely. And we've been there and done that, so to speak, something these muchachos can't say.
Thin reticles ain't so good under the canopy in a hemlock/cedar swamp. That's the main reason my Nikon's are mounted on varmint rifles instead of deer rifles; Their thin center crosshairs are good for precise aiming on tiny critters in good light but disappear in a dark evergreen forest at dawn and dusk.
