Lotsa threads about "best" rifle for long range, light, mountain, price, yadda yadda....But what would you buy just for the hell of it? Sure, you might hunt with it, but not necessarily a "purpose" driven choice or some fang dangled cartridge that's cool for the moment.
For me, I think it might be one of the circa 1980'ish pimped out Weatherby's in 257 or a jacked up Mauser actioned 7x57 with open sights. Kinda Robert Ruark Africa style.
No real reason, just kinda cool to have sorta thing.
