It seems most of my rifles are "just for the hell of it" since the first deer rifle Dad gave me, an early production M70 Featherweight Classic in 270 Win. Since then they're all fun, but most are just for the hell of it.

If we're talking something I'd really love but don't need...I'd take a long action M70 Stainless Featherweight Classic to a gunsmith I know, have him (Larry) rebarrel it with a Krieger in a light contour chamber it in 270 Win and then bed it into McMillan Compact Edge or Brown Pound'r. I could hunt the rest of my life with those two 270s and never feel like I needed another rifle.
