I asked Dean (MRC rep) about the X3 a couple of weeks ago. He said it is the X2 with aluminum bottom metal and a bit taken out of the stock to lighten it without compromising the rigidity. The action/barrel are identical to the X2, By the way, I completely agree that they need to offer this with a Featherweight, or at least a No 1, contour barrel. I've mentioned it to them a few times. We'll see if it ever happens.
