I've killed several hundred coyotes in traps with CB Long solids to the head. I found the HPs tended to cause too much bleeding. The difference was very significant. The same CB Long bullet to the heart works well with little bleeding.

Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.
