Iconic for me would be 300 Savage, then the 30-30. As said earlier in this thread, 30-06 has probably killed more! But I think of Grandad and the 300 Savage, that slick looking lever action really stands out in my memories!
I would have to agree. The 300 Savage was my dad's caliber as far back as I can remember. Before he died he had asked that it be given to my son causing my brother and myself to go buy one for ourselves.
