I liked my BLR. It was a 358 with a "staright" stock, AKA no pistol grip, which I prefer in a lever action. I see no down side to an '06.
Of course. The ‘06 is as good as ever and never a bad choice. But I have a lot of .308 and .270 ammo because I have bolt action rifles in those calibers. So if I get another BLR it will be .308 or .270.
