I had a steel receiver 308 with a Jaeger mount, Lyman peep and a 2-7 Leupold for drive hunting in PA, I liked the rifle and shot a bunch of deer with it. When PA went to the 3 point AR I gave up drive hunting and gave the rifle to my father. I'd look at a 308 or 358 if you can find one!
