I put a Marbles "bullseye" rear barrel mounted sight on one of my JC Higgins model 50's it is a peep sight. Very easy to see/use for older eyes , as a back up to a scope. $20. From Midway. Used the longer slide version. I have a Leupold m8 4x scope on it ( Warne bases).

You can cut or grind off the outer ring if you feel it gets in your scope viewing -it doesn't- but can be done if desired. Very handy option.
