I don 't own one, but I always get the April Auto issue of Consumer Reports and they rated the Ford F-150 with the 2.7 turbo as their #1 half ton pickup. I kind of scoffed at the tiny 2.7 V6 in a full size truck when I first heard about them but their 2.7 V6 test truck ran a 6.8 second zero to 60 time just .1 second slower than the 6.7 second V8 Tundra truck. They got 19 mpg overall with their 2.7 test truck, 2 to 4 mpg better than any of the other half tons. With a 10 speed transmission, I'm not sure a person would need a lower axle ratio than the 3:55's unless they planned on a lot of heavy towing and given that they might want the 3.5 V6 or a 3/4 ton.

My other auto is a .45

The bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the sweetness of low price has faded from memory
