I've been driving a 2016 F150 4x4 with the 3.5 EcoBoost engine for almost 3 years. I pull a 28' 5th wheel during the travel months and have never lacked for power. My mpg averages over 18.5 running with or without the a/c and when I'm pulling my 5th wheel, my mileage drops to around 11.
