I used to backpack quite a bit but now I just dayhike and hunt deer. I always used to carry a folder, usually a 4in Cold Steel Voyager, but have recently "found" sheath knives. I've bought 3 Bark Rivers in the last 3 months (Drop Point Hunter, PSK EDC and FW Fox River) and am thinking of getting a Mini Aurora. Back when I carried a folder, it was usually clipped to my pocket. What is the best way to secure a sheath? My daypacks have padded hipbelts with pockets on them. They are too wide to thread a sheath on. Do you attach it to the shoulder straps or what? I'm new at this and at a loss.
