If hiking or hunting with a pack (and most everyday doing everything) I have a smaller neck knife in a kydex sheath. With a pack on it's usually outside my shirt, under the chest strap (or under the HPG bag is I'm wearing one). I keep my main fixed blade in my pack. Belt knives don't work to well for me when using a pack with a hip belt to carry weight.
