Non-Resident rifle deer tags = 1% of available antlered tags in any given unit.
Non-Resident archery is OTC for whitetail and lottery for Mule-Deer.
Wyoming should go to that Resident/Non-Resident tag allotment ratio.
where will the game and fish get their funding? it's a legit question. like most states NR hunters fund the lions share of the budget for DNR/game and fish departments. I've advocated for MORE NR tags here in SD where I live. it makes the most sense if you think of the big picture and not just as an individual.
57,000 NR Fishing, 80K resident fishing licenses. General hunting license which you need to purchase any other hunting license = NR 37,243 vs. 37,995 residents. Then of course Oil $$ funds pretty much everything here now. When hunting license sales are 52% residents and 48% NR, I think we're doing enough sharing.
