Using a 250 gr. Cup and core bullet from a 35 Whelen gives me the confidence to take any shot on a deer or anything on North America. I have only found one bullet since I bought this rifle. That was a 200 gr on a quartering away shot. I am sure a smaller bullet would be fine most of the time but it never hurts to have a little extra.
