The "original" Tundras seem to hold up pretty well. Several of 'em around where I live. A buddy is still driving the one he bought new, early 2000s. Pretty sure it's well past 200K in miles? No issues with the paint, but the OEM tubular side steps are about rusted away. There's another one in town that's the same color as his, even has the same aluminum topper on it. Constantly waving at the "wrong guy" when we pass.

Those early ones aren't much different in size, than today's Tacomas.
