i was told by dakota the early ones require differant inlet
I'm not sure that's accurate. Yours was made in the early 90s and when they changed the lever shape the inlet stayed the same. They did have a radically different single shot action that Pete Grisel worked on while there, but that was years before the one you have. And I don't think any of those were released into the wild. Haven't seen a current #10 in hand, but doubt they changed the inlet much if any.
