The 25-06 is an outstanding cartridge. Not sure why, but it doesn't get nearly as much love as it deserves.

Kimbers fit me perfectly. I have several, but have looked for a long time for a Montana in 25-06 with no luck. I’m strongly considering having my Mountain Ascent in 270 rebarreled to 25-06 as Kimber is no longer making them in 25-06 and the Mountain Ascent sits in the safe.

Currently have a very early model Forbes in 25-06 that shoots lights out, which I’ll likely sell to build the Kimber, or trade for a proven shooter Montana. If anyone knows of someone who would consider selling or trading a proven shooter Montana, please let me know.
