Not sure if it will work as planned out but it is getting built as we speak. I had a gorgeous #1 and wanted it re-barreled to something different. I finally decided on the 25-06 Ackley Improved in the #1B profile.
Barrel is going to be 26" with a 1:7 twist. Should be here in November.

The wood has me a bit confused! It could be one of several things and it is obvious the light was changed on it for the photos. I love having to scratch my head!
The first two pictures scream bastogne/paradox walnut... and the fore end pictures hint at screwbean. I cannot get enough resolution on my screen to even make a good guess. Really good looking, regardless my confusion!
