Hillbillybear: I was required to carry a concealed pistol every day for 29 (twenty nine) years by my employer, during that time.
I chose the Smith & Wesson Model 60 in 38 Special.
I am glad I never had to bring that pistol into usage.
When I carry concealed nowadays I choose the 40 S&W caliber in a high capacity Glock with an extra magazine.
Again I am glad I never had to bring that nifty (and now very valuable!) Model 60 into action.
IMPO there are better calibers and better pistols for self protection these days.
