You bring up a point that has always bothered me. Seems many folks think the only people out west were cowboys. Having grown up out here I can tell you it ain't so. There were very few cowboys and it was a low paying job with little respect from the locals. People seem to forget who really civilized the west. It was the fur trappers, wagon freighters, brick makers, lumberjacks, sawmill workers, prospectors, construction workers of all kinds. Same as today. Living in cattle country, I know of a handful of cowboys only. I know more restaurant dishwashers. Since the subject title was old west movie firearms, my all time favorite was Death Hunt. Took place way out west in the Yukon, and based on the true story of Albert Johnson. That movie had a wide array of interesting firearms.
