A 1400 pound steer probably hangs 825-850lb.
We use a few different slaughterhouses but they are .65-.85 per pound for the hanging weight, aged and vacuum packed. Then you can spend a bunch on extras. (Kielbasa, burger patties, etc.)
Plus the cost of the steer.
