The only.308 I own(or have ever owned, I think) is a Ruger 1B. It shoots around an inch, good enough for anything I’ll do with it. I bought it because it was a No. 1 that was waved in front of me for a good price. There are other calibers I’d have preferred, but it’s served me well.

I’ve loaded for and shot a couple BLR’s that were good shooters but I could never warm up to that rifle.

If I felt I needed a .308 as an all around hunting rifle today, I’d probably get a Sako 85 in one configuration or another.
