My experience around non-family ranch hands is cyclic.
It goes something like this:
1.) I need work.
2.) This guy lets me work.
3.) He likes me more than anybody else. I bet I've hit the jackpot here.
4.) Schit. He isn't going to give me half of everything.
5.) Fugk this guy.
6.) I quit.
7.) I realize now that I can't do anything else. (back to step one)
