A buddy of mine has something like 250k on his 7-8yr old Ram 5.7L. He said it's been one of the most trouble-free trucks he's had. I'm still not a Dodge man, but it sounds like they have their trucks figured out a lot better than they did in the 80's and 90's.


My son’s 09 Ram 1500 I gave him has 170K on it. It’s us stupid crap break on it. The wiring harness for the 4 WD went bad. Speed sensors wire got cut from something he hit and it has them down codes off and on since that got fixed. The wiring harnes though took the Dodge dealer bringing in an engineer to figure that one out they claim. $700 late it was back on the road.
