I passed up a really nice 18' one in the neighborhood last fall. I was going by and the guy was just washing it up and had a for sale sign on it for $8,000. It was a '99 Lund Alaskan with an EZ loader trailer and a 2006 Yamaha 60 hp tiller. I stopped and talked with him and it was too big for the river fishing that he did. That boat sold inside of a day. What people don't realize is that the older aluminum boats used virgin aluminum and the newer ones use reclaimed aluminum. My Canada camp owner buys every nice old S-16 Lund that he can find because the rocks dent and the rivets let go in the newer aluminum boats.
