Sounds like a good plan to me. Yours is a new outfit without to much worry about motor failure but still having a usable lake close by is handy. I've got a couple of 16' Fishing boats I'm trying to get back to reliable using condition, a close lake for test drives would be nice to use. Pactola has to suffice it's about 28 miles out. Last test drive produced a couple of northern pike and a ignition switch failure. Good with the bad, that' s old boat motors for you. Mb
